The Treasure Within!

What are you looking for

In the sky that turns blue, grey, and white?

What stays perpetually?

Nature speaks the truth—as morning begins after night.

The tree sheds its leaves,

The ornaments are stolen by thieves,

Oh, and the beautiful rainbow gives only momentary pleasure.

O silly human heart,

Your roam to Rome ought to end—

Look within for the peerless treasure.

Are you afraid to walk alone through the woods?

Remember, the lion rules the place alone.

The bravest of hearts toil in solitude,

While the heartwarming materialism

of things and connections

Remains the comfort zone.

But Captain, you may deny the warmth of comfort,

For in your heart must ignite the eternal fire.

For you are the King—

You abandon all of your desire.

What may stop you, when

The Buddha meditates with you,

The Holiness walks with you,

The Courage resides in your vein.

You—the King—

You worship all the sources of pain.

Love, heroism, confidence, and companionship—

Why seek approval,

When here you dictate the whip?

Everything lies within you—

You are the source, the provider, and the absorber.

What would life make of you,

If not a being who is stronger?

This poem is a soulful reflection on impermanence, inner strength, and spiritual awakening. It gently reminds us that while the world around us constantly changes—shifting colors like the sky or fading like a rainbow—our true self remains the only constant. Through vivid imagery and powerful metaphors, it urges us to look within for strength, courage, and love, rather than seeking validation from the outside world. The poem celebrates solitude as the path of the brave and portrays the “King” not as a symbol of masculinity, but as a universal figure of self-mastery, applicable to all. It is both a call to self-realization and a gentle rebellion against the comfort zones that limit our potential.
